Bookings are now open for this year's SAGE & THYME UK conference, which is taking place on Thursday 14 November 2013 at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester.

The conference will run from 9:30am-4:00pm and will contain a mix of presentations and workshops.

Who should attend?

• SAGE & THYME foundation level workshop facilitators (both recently trained and experienced) and managers overseeing the training in their organisation.

• People interested in running SAGE & THYME workshops in their organisation may find the morning of the conference of interest.

What’s in the programme?

A mixture of presentations and parallel workshops covering the following:

• SAGE & THYME update
• Mid-Staffordshire – if you can run SAGE & THYME training here, you can do it anywhere!
• SAGE & THYME for 3rd year student nurses at Teesside University – does it help?
• Experience of running the SAGE & THYME Advance Care Planning workshop In Birmingham
• Evaluation of the SAGE & THYME Advance Care Planning workshop
• Why rehearsals go off track and what to do
• Giving difficult feedback to your co-facilitators – discussion of techniques and sensitive language
• Measuring the impact of the training
• PARSLEY (a workshop teaching how to share information) – how it works
• SAGE & THYME Advance Care Planning workshop – differences to foundation level
• Tips on running SAGE & THYME training from Guys’ and St Thomas’

The final programme will be available in September.

How much will it cost and how do I book a place?

The cost will be £50 per person. Booking forms must be received by 30 September 2013.  Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
